On 7 September, Bengal Commercial Bank and Bengal Islami Life Insurance formalised a Credit Shield arrangement at the bank’s headquarters in the Gulshan district of Dhaka. Under the deal, cardholders will receive coverage that shields them and their dependents from sudden financial hardship triggered by death, permanent disability, or a diagnosed critical illness.
