Fresh Super Mart products now available on foodi
Fresh Super Mart joins foodi to expand rapid grocery delivery in Dhaka
Bdbusinessdaily.com – Dhaka consumers can now order a broader range of supermarket essentials through foodi after the delivery platform entered a partnership with Fresh Super Mart, the retail chain operated by Meghna Group of Industries (MGI).
The arrangement connects 10 Fresh Super Mart locations in the capital to foodi’s app-based ordering and delivery network. It is intended to give customers a faster way to buy routine household goods without making a separate trip to a physical outlet.
Fresh Super Mart shoppers in Motijheel, Bangladesh Secretariat, Dhaka University, Mirpur 10, Mirpur 11, Pallabi, Uttara Centre, Uttara North C Gate, Uttara North D Gate and Gulshan 1 can place orders through the foodi application. The service brings supermarket products into foodi’s instant-delivery offering, combining the retailer’s inventory with the platform’s technology and rider network.
Focus on everyday convenience
The partnership reflects the growing role of app-based delivery in daily urban shopping. For customers managing work, travel and household responsibilities, the option to order groceries, personal-care items or other basic products digitally can reduce the time required for routine purchases.
Rather than limiting the service to restaurant meals, foodi is using its delivery infrastructure to help customers access regular household necessities. The addition of Fresh Super Mart is expected to widen the product selection available through the platform while making products from the participating branches easier to reach.
“One of foodi's key goals is to deliver everyday essentials to customers quickly and conveniently. Through this partnership with Fresh Super Mart, customers will have access to a wider variety of products along with faster delivery. With Fresh Super Mart products now available on foodi, customers can order their everyday essentials directly through the app, making daily shopping easier and more time efficient for urban consumers.”
The comments were made by Md Shahnewaz Mannan, chief executive officer of foodi, during the signing of the partnership agreement. Mir Abdul Hafiz, assistant general manager of supply chain and business development at Fresh Super Mart Limited, signed on behalf of the retailer.
Products available through participating outlets
Fresh Super Mart’s stores carry a mix of products aimed at regular household needs. Its range includes dairy items, frozen foods, staple grocery products, household supplies, health and hygiene goods, cosmetics and over-the-counter medicines. The stores also sell both Fresh-branded merchandise and products from domestic and international brands.
That assortment gives customers several reasons to use a supermarket-delivery option beyond a single urgent purchase. A household may need kitchen staples and cleaning products at the same time, while another customer may be looking for personal-care goods, dairy items or packaged frozen food. Bringing these categories into a delivery app can make it simpler to combine smaller everyday requirements in one order.
In addition to retail shelves, Fresh Super Mart outlets feature in-store cafés serving coffee and a selection of snacks. The partnership, however, centers on enabling delivery of the chain’s everyday product range through foodi’s digital ordering system.
New retailer seeks a wider urban reach
Fresh Super Mart began operating in June 2026 with a stated goal of making daily purchases quicker and easier for people living in urban areas. Its move onto foodi adds a delivery channel alongside its physical locations, allowing shoppers in the covered parts of Dhaka to browse and order from their phones.
For a relatively new retail chain, app integration can also help make individual branches more accessible to nearby customers who may not have time to visit in person. The 10 participating outlets span central business areas, university surroundings, residential neighborhoods in Mirpur and Pallabi, Uttara and Gulshan 1, creating coverage across several important parts of the city.
Consumers using the service will need to select Fresh Super Mart through the foodi app and order from the branch serving their area. Availability may depend on the participating outlet’s location and product stock, as is common with app-based retail ordering.
Representatives attend signing ceremony
Several officials from both organizations attended the agreement-signing event at foodi’s head office. foodi was represented by Manager Hridita Shawon, Assistant Manager HM Nawroz Morshed Evan and Assistant Manager Syed Abdullah Al Baki.
Fresh Super Mart was represented by Mohammad Abdus Salam, operations manager, and Md Al Amin, senior executive, in addition to Mir Abdul Hafiz.
The collaboration gives foodi another supermarket option for customers seeking daily essentials and provides Fresh Super Mart with a direct route into the platform’s delivery ecosystem. For Dhaka residents within the supported areas, the practical result is a new way to buy groceries, household products, health and hygiene items, and other regular necessities through a single mobile app.
